I don't care what your arbitrary tolerance delivery dates are, I will think hard before ordering a book from you in anticipation that it will come in a reasonable time frame. Requested the book on 12/15 and it didn't come until 12/29. I'm not rating the book but the service. In fact, I already rated your service as being substandard.
Read Zen Golf. okay, i have implemented an attitude adjustment. Zen Golf actually gives you methods for training your mind to deal with pressure, to deal with nerves, and to build confidence, among other things. it will teach how to free your mind from all that mental chatter. "Love your putter and your wedges." okay, so i love them, now what. i can appreciate his psychological points in the book.
you can tell anybody all these great ideas, but if they don't tell you how to get there, you will still blow it out of bounds.i've also read "Zen Golf" and this book is far superior IMHO. but my game still sucks. "Play to play great" about sums it up. "Nothing will upset me today no matter what happens on the course". and learning psychological principals is all about HOW TO THINK, not what to think. the problem is, he doesn't really tell you how to bend your mind to achieve these concepts.
Rotella only provides you with great concepts.
After struggling to find the right temperament on the golf course for many years, I have finally found the answer in the form of this book.My change in mental approach to the game of golf has enabled me within weeks to get my scores down to my single figure capabilities and be able to relax and enjoy golf as the game that it is.I wish I had read it 30 years ago.It is a must read for golfers of all standards and experience.
some years ago(1988),he was geat then and I think he is even better now, just like good wines.I dont think I can afford that now, so I recomend you read the book instead ,its probably more reasonable. I went to a golf school with Bob one full week(imagine.).
Really, it is a compilation of statements made in his other books."Golf is Not a Game of Perfect","Putting Out of Your Mind", Golf is a Game of Confidence", and "The Golf of Your Dreams." Now, I have six of his books (including Life is Not a Game of Perfect"; and, although enlightening, he's pretty much said it all a couple of times. This was a typical Rotella book.
